'I was only able to see Silvia play a few times and never in person, but she was so enjoyable to watch. She had such graceful ground strokes. It's really remarkable how her career turned out: like fine wine, she got better with age. Only in the past few months have we seen her decline, and it's sad to see, but we should rejoice and marvel at the wonderful career she has had. Her longevity, focus, and hard work are assets that the young italians (and young tennis players everywhere) should emulate.
